In the first semester of the IT minor, I learned how to take raw data and make it into information. I learned some of the essential functions in Google Sheets, like average, count, count_if, and unique, as well as some more advanced functions like query. Understanding how to make the basic functions work, helped me establish a foundation that would help me in creating queries for my second assignment as well as helping me in the second semester of the minor when I started working in a database. Below I am showcasing my data assignments from the first semester. For each assignment, I wrote a reflection about what I learned, how I accomplished the assignment, and what I would do if I had to do it over again, and excerpts of those posts are below.
