Time Vampires

Tick-tock. Time management is crucial for me. Lists make time management manageable for me.  On my to-do list, I had six things that I needed to do today (Wednesday). I completed five of the six so, I did pretty well in completing the tasks on my list.

I’m not sure that could have done a better job at managing my time because my I was completing tasks that took quite a bit of time. Yes, there were times when I was watching TV or when I was playing on my phone and not working on the task, but I still completed five of my six tasks.

I have created a timetable that works for me, and I know the best time of day for me to work and how to work efficiently during that time. Time management has been a very important aspect of my college career so far, and my everyday life.

So after taking the time management quiz I was reassured that I do manage my time well. I scored (a 53) in the top category. Time management is extremely important to get things done, and most of the time I do pretty well to complete tasks either early or on time.

Questions:

For Thursday:  1) Create a “to do list” for Wednesday.  2) Create a chronological ordering of your day to record how you spend each hour of your day.  3)  Analyze your day to see if you have any “time vampires” sucking the time out of your day.   4) Check your “to do list” against your day’s record to see what you were able to get done during the day.

What could you do differently to maximize your 24/7?  How can you change the time table of your day to help maximize your time?
